Dear Parents & Students,

      WELCOME back to classes!  Dancers…congratulations again on a spectacular recital production “Hooray For Hollywood!”   2010 theme- “Let The Games Begin!” on Sat. June 19, and we look so forward to another colorful production in June of 2010! Welcome all new students and parents to our wonderful “dance family”!  Happy Dancing!

1. Recital Production “Hooray For Hollywood”!- DVD’s for sale on site. Only $30.00. See Secretary Amy Hill to purchase your today! We have the DVD’s at the studio, so take one home today!
2. Richcreek Fall Festival- Richcreek, VA Saturday, September 12 at 12:30pm We are excited to be part of the Richcreek Festival. This Festival is near our new location in Pearisburg, and everyone in that area really wants to see what we are all about! Sign up in the lobby! We need Show Team Cloggers and any other students willing to participate. See Martie Miller or Secretary Amy Hill for more details. Our new Pearisburg DDPAA location is opened for classes!
3. CARNIVAL CRUISE- GROUP CRUISE 2010 Don’t Miss The Boat!! We have coordinated a wonderful trip for next July.

Chance of a lifetime! Carnival Cruise to the Bahamas!! July 29-Aug 2. We make it affordable for dancers, family and friends of DDPAA to make monthly payments for around 7 months. Payments will begin in Sept and start at $75.00pp due by the 20^th of each month. Information forms for your cabins will be due when you turn in first payment.

Brittany Main will give a FULL information meeting on our cruise SAT. SEPT 5th at 1:30pm. Forms are located in the studio and will be given out starting Sept 1^st.  4 people to a cabin is the CHEAPEST and your’re not in your cabin very much! So much to do and see! *Dancers from show teams WILL be performing on board the ship/port of call. WOW!  This makes a GREAT family vacation, graduation trip, Christmas present! Feel free to invite family and friends who may want to take advantage also! Any questions please e-mail wednc4U@aol.com or see an Instructor who has cruised with us before! ANYONE who has cruised with us in the past PLEASE gather up your photos/videos and souvenirs to show!

4. WILDERNESS TRAIL FESTIVAL- Saturday, September 19^th.  Downtown performance will include all Cloggers in traditional dresses, Baby Ballerina’s, Tech X-TREME Cheer/Dance Pom (Mini Miss & Advanced). DDPAA’s performance slot is at 9:00am. We kick off the festival! Please meet at the studio by 8:20am so we can take our traditional walk down Main Street together! Sign up at studio. This IS our HOMETOWN festival so we want you there.
5. Wilderness Trail Festival DDPAA BOOTH- PARENTS and DANCERS…..we need you!  New this year we

Are taking advantage of our wonderful downtown location during the festival and setting up a tent/booth and performance area with sound!! Parents you can come sit under the tent and enjoy hanging out! There will be an information table with our literature for any new inquiries! Dancers we need you in ANY costume! Bring a couple if you want to change it up!  Cloggers who are staying, we will have copies of music from recital or shows. We will have a roped off location either in sidewalk or “stage” by Pepsi machine for you to dance.I would LOVE any ballet class to perform as well. We do have a plastic drop for the ground for any ballet performances.  For Hip Hop…see Kim Lovern for a copy of any music (Cupid Shuffle)……for cheer…see Kim or Kayla Spencer! What a FUN way to spend your afternoon at the festival! Parents can take turns at the booth so they too can walk around the festival! Parents please sign up with  Amy Hill know if you can help out! Sign up with Amy Hill. Bernice Parker, Barbara Moreno, Vicky Moles and Sharon Brunner will be our QUEEN coordinators!! THIS IS OUR HOMETOWN FESTIVAL AND WE WANT TO SHOW OUR ACADEMY PRIDE!

6. WILDERNESS TRAIL FESTIVAL REHEARSAL- Will be held at the studio Friday, September 18  6:00-7:00
7. Dixie Dream Dancers- Professional Team was hired once again to perform in Maggie Valley NC Sept 18!!

8. DANCEWEAR- Dancewear order forms are located in the lobby. Please make sure you try on a shoe BEFORE ordering, so you see how they fit.  Return shoe fee $5.00. Class dancewear MUST be worn weekly. PLEASE make sure you have the proper dancewear for your class. Some class dancewear IS used in the Christmas Show. Please order your shoes from the studio (except
